Akron Children’s Hospital
More Childhood, Please –TV Show
Role: Senior Integrated Producer / Production Lead
When Akron Children’s came to us with the idea of creating a one-hour TV show—yes, a full, broadcast-length series—I jumped right in to figure out how to actually make it happen. No roadmap, no precedent, just a big idea and an even bigger heart behind it.
Working closely with our in-house team at Marcus Thomas—including Megan Noll (Art Director/ACD), TJ Prochaska (Copywriter/ACD), Kevin Delsanter (Creative Director), Elyse Peterlin (Management Supervisor), and Mikey Nichols (Director of Photography/Editor)—we built a production process from scratch that blended storytelling, authenticity, and heart.
I led production from start to finish, overseeing everything from logistics and legal clearances to talent management and parent communication. We filmed both in our studio and on location—from Cuyahoga Valley National Park to Akron Honey—capturing the spirit of the community that Akron Children’s serves. I also helped recruit families to submit their own content, making each episode more personal, joyful, and real.
The end result? A broadcast-quality, one-hour series that shines a light on the incredible stories within Akron Children’s—and a first-of-its-kind production for the agency. Each episode is a heartfelt collaboration between clients, crew, and community, proving that with the right mix of creativity, care, and teamwork, you can make TV magic from scratch.
